Geospatial Imaging & Informatics:
What are the technologies?
Geospatial technologies include tools and techniques to acquire spatial data, such as Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and Remote Sensing; to analyze complex problems with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial analyses; and to communicate results using visualizations.
All of these tools and techniques revolve around the Internet, which is becoming a common interface between geospatial technologies and the stakeholders, decision makers, and the general public.
